I chose this image as the Featured Design for February 2023 because it aligns with the colors, themes and sentiments associated with many Valentine's Day celebrations around the world.
I made this design for my youngest daughter and gave it to her as a Christmas gift when she was eleven. I chose the pink palette because that was her favorite color and also reflected her personality at the time ~ a vibrant, innocent, sweet, caring, little social butterfly.
Color Psychology websites describes Pink as:
"Emotional in character, connotes a sensitive heart. Universally representing caring and sharing, pink asserts strong sensitivity. Pink is welcomed by the affectionate and concerned individual. Gently, you offer love, attention and nurturing to those in distress and needing guidance. Psychologically, pink is a powerful color. It represents the feminine principle."
Coincidently, these are also characteristics of my daughters' personality, who has grown into an amazing young lady.
